March 9, 2026 FRONT Showcasing Skip Tile and Mimmik Tile at MaterialDistrict Cheers to a successful edition of MaterialDistrict, the leading event for material innovation in architecture and design in Utrecht, the Netherlands! FRONT hosted a double booth featuring Skip Tile and Mimmik Tile (formerly BioBasedTiles) together with our partners Alusid, Biomason and CERALUTION (Tegelgroep Nederland). The booth was by design of our friends at Ape to Zebra. Mimmik Tile Revolutionising Tiles The two materials we showcased at MaterialDistrict both rethink what tiles can be. Skip Tile is made from 95% industrial by-products; Mimmik Tile is grown with the help of bacteria. By combining technology and sustainability, we can offer products that are both efficient and environmentally friendly to our client base.
