Paper Waste Panels now available with B-s1, d0 fire classification

Paper Waste Panels can now be specified with a B-s1, d0 reaction-to-fire classification under EN 13501-1. That opens up a much wider range of interior spaces for circular wall cladding made from paper waste.

What does B-s1, d0 mean?

Under the European standard EN 13501-1, B-s1, d0 stands for a very limited contribution to fire (B), low smoke production (s1) and no flaming droplets or particles (d0). Paper Waste Panels remain available in the standard C-s1, d0 version, and can now also be supplied with a B-s1, d0 classification on request.

Where can Paper Waste Panels with B-s1, d0 be used?

Fire performance is often the deciding factor when selecting interior finishes. Public buildings, offices, hospitality and education projects frequently come with stricter fire-performance requirements. With B-s1, d0, Paper Waste Panels can be specified across a much wider range of areas within a building, subject to local regulations. For architects and interior designers, that means one fewer reason to fall back on conventional materials.

One more barrier removed for bringing circular materials into architecture.

Circular, now in more spaces

Paper Waste Panels are made from paper fibres that are too short to be recycled again and would otherwise end up as waste. For every 100 m² of panels, 722 kg of landfill waste is upcycled. We keep improving the product so architects and interior designers can bring circular materials into more spaces.
