Hebel, the assistant professor of architecture and construction at ETH Zürich. As the global population grows, it is also becoming more city-based, with 70% expected to live in urban areas by 2050. Truly sustainable cities of the future will not differentiate between waste and resources. Rather, they will understand waste as the starting point for something new.
