Paper Waste Panels - FRONT® Materials

How it's madePaper Waste Panels

Our goal is to provide innovative, sustainable building materials made from discarded waste, giving new life to waste while enhancing the beauty and functionality of our environment.

In Europe alone, paper mills generate 11 million of tonnes of industrial fibre waste from the paper industry annually – a volume that only increases as paper recycling rates grow.

The Paper Waste Panels transform fully recyclable, non-toxic boards made from these otherwise unusable fibres into beautiful wall cladding panels. For every 100m² Paper Waste Panels, 722 kg of landfill waste gets upcycled.

Paper waste as a resource

Paper Waste Panels - FRONT® Materials
The paper industry generates millions of tons of cellulose fibres, which become too short after multiple recycling cycles to be reused through conventional methods.
Paper Waste Panels - FRONT® Materials
The otherwise unusable fibres are mixed with water and 25% cardboard waste, turning it into sludge.

Then the sludge is dryed into fully recyclable, non-toxic boards, upcycling 722 kg of landfill waste with every 100m2 of boards.

Transforming waste into design

After drying, the boards are cut into 600 x 600 mm panels.

The signature pattern gets debossed into the panel surface, offering varied shadow effects and enhancing the aesthetic flexibility of the design.

The panels get one of the 5 colour coatings, produced from bio-resins extracted from plant-based waste.
