Scaling Up WasteBasedBricks: Greater Impact, Larger Scale, More Affordable

In 2014, we embarked on our mission to transform as much waste as possible into new building materials. In 2016, the first building featuring WasteBasedBricks was completed, giving 22,830 kg of waste a second life.

Nine years later, our products have been used in over 160 projects across 15 countries, from Amsterdam to London and New York. The WasteBasedBrick and WasteBasedSlip have become recognised names in the market.

From the outset, our ambition has been to create as much impact as possible—and achieving impact requires scale. The flexibility and innovative strength of our production partner enabled us to realise award-winning projects such as The West in New York and Technique in London.

In a new partnership with DC Bricks (a joint venture by Zilverschoon Randwijk and Rodruza), large-scale production of the WasteBasedBrick and WasteBasedSlip has now officially started, meaning more affordable products with greater availability. We look forward to collaborating with our partners to achieve even greater impact.
