Born in Sydney. Raised in Brooklyn. Roasting in Amsterdam. With impeccable quality, dedication to sustainability, and a continuous pursuit of perfection, the choice for LOT61 as the coffee bar on the ground floor of the DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Central Station was quickly made.
In the design by Smörgasbord Studio, a minimalist and ‘honest’ palette of materials has been used, with the Orange WasteBasedBricks from FRONT® being a true eye-catcher in the interior.
In 2013, Australian Adam Craig opened LOT61, the first coffee shop in Amsterdam Oud-West. The store at Amsterdam Centraal is their second location.
LOT61 is determined to become a circular coffee brand in all aspects of the coffee industry. From reusable or recyclable products to reducing the ecological footprint, passionate coffee makers constantly work to further the brand’s sustainability.
The warm colour palette of the interior at this location is based on the striking coffee packaging of LOT61 and has been implemented throughout the entire store.
The Orange stone from a previous project (the Substation at Amsterdam IJburg) has been used for the interior of LOT61. This light and lively terracotta-coloured brick makes the space feel warm and bright.
The new LOT61 logotype designed by Smörgasbord Studio is informed by the Amsterdam School — a style of architecture that arose in the city between 1910 and 1930.
Buildings in the style of the Amsterdam School are recognizable by their expressive forms, with extensive use of brick and applications of decorations in facades, brickwork, or sculpted natural stone.
LOT61 is located at Oosterdokstraat 4 in Amsterdam and is open during the week from 6:30 AM and on weekends and holidays from 7:00 AM.
