Chancery House is a 150,000 sqft redevelopment of an existing building in Chancery Lane, London, incorporating the historic London Silver Vaults.
The building’s new cladding and paving is made from WasteBasedBricks by FRONT®, which incorporate a minimum of 60 per cent recycled building waste. All materials have been selected for durability.
The project completed in June 2023 and achieved BREEAM Excellent and WELL Platinum.

This historic building was first opened as the Chancery Lane Safe Deposit in 1885, and then rebuilt after WWII. It was redesigned for a seamless, classic-meets-contemporary experience. From single studios to whole enterprise floors with scope for a private entrance, Chancery House works for every stage of your business’s journey, with room to grow.
The design scheme focused on upgrading the existing building and improving the building’s connection with the exterior spaces. For example, on Chancery House’s roof terrace, warm rust-red steel garden furniture matches the red hue of the brick walls.
Apart from exterior wall cladding, FRONT® WasteBasedBricks were also implemented as outdoor paving at Chancery House.
On the plot, an existing car park was converted into a landscaped, planted garden to improve biodiversity, wellbeing and connections to nature for the building users.
